Fortunately I got some very good bow action up north before coming here. I come here primary for meat because VA has liberal limits. But it is still about 70 here. So things aren't really looking up. Don't think the rut is in at all. Does are still bunched up. Saw a group of four this morning. They came real close. Surprise they didn't see or wind me since I was on foot. Didn't take any, just wanted to watch. Started to rain again. So I left the field at about 1pm EST. In a few days the weather will cool a bit. I think the rut will engage next week. Just hope it cools and stays around. I have gotta get in your neck-o-the-woods someday and take a monster. I have a place in Wisconsin, but I've decided to stay clear of that region until the CWD thing calms down. (grin)
