But even assuming that chip sales rebound this year and next by the strong margins projected, sales will stand at $194.6 billion, below the $204 billion at the peak in 2000.

Many of those chips built in 2000 are STILL sitting in useless, written-off inventory all over the World or are only now being utilized as network bandwidth is being used.

The chips being built today are for real customers...who the hell trusts sales forecasts from marketing any more???
