Huh? Do you think that a 1% fed funds rate is "normal"? I don't think so, under any conceivable economic condition. It's a bizarre pricing of money, especially egregious because it punishes savers, and rewards leveraged speculators and wild men. Then it sets off a moral hazard psychology that carries over to regular folks (like you, apparently), who walk around "la de dah" thinking Easy Al will guarantee their prosperity. Yeah sure, all the fool has to do is "fine tune it".
