Speaking of cookies.......

I made two dozen each of chocolate chip, sugar and oatmeal raisin yesterday and took them down to the local Army recruiting station. The guys in there were really appreciative. I told them that since they wouldn't hire me to do any work would it be OK if I came down once in awhile and dropped off a cake, pie or cookies?

The answer was in the affirmative. <gg>

While I was there I met a young (32) guy that had done a lot of things in his life.....college degree, good job...but decided that he wanted to do more, so he up and enlisted. He was leaving for Fort Benning, GA in the morning. We had a wonderful conversation and gave each other a big hug when I left.

His name was Sean.

One way to help support the troops is to donate your frequent flyer miles so they can come home for a short leave. They must pay for their own airfare. It's expensive any donation is greatly appreciated.
