...BC........You're talking about the lady I love....AMD.......so no disparaging comments, please......<VBG>

Second, you're probably asking me for more than I can deliver. As you say, we're talking about probabilities, loaded with uncertainties, and often faced with conflicting signals from a range of indicators. And there is always a heavy subjective component - feel - whatever......some refer to it as an "art"...g In individual stocks. I rely heavily on other things as well....patterns. S and R, measured moves, SMAs etc.... and rightly or wrongly, I look for divergences in BOTH MACD and RSI at the same time. If only one is diverging negatively . e.g. I won't take that as a negative..

Mind you, I've run many times into judgments about both negative and positive divergences which simply didn't pan out........that's only to be expected IMHO with any presumably predictive indicator.......and - BTW - looks right now like there's a good chance that my invoking these RSI/MACD moves - as part of my reasoning for looking for tops in the major indexes - may prove to be off base.......g

Sorry....know this disjointed......phone kept interrupting...g
