There were no terrorists in Iraq. Saddam had kept them at bay (except the Kurdish territories where he had not been allowed to go).

Now, of course, Iraq has become a Petri Dish for terrorists. Thanks for everything, Dumbya!

And what would you have had Clinton do, genius?
Want to play Monday morning quarterback fine, but what about Bush being warned about hijackings on 8-5 in Crawford and doing zilch? 9-11 happened on his watch, not Clinton's, if you need reminding. You can't blame Clinton for Bush's problems anymore. Clinton bombed all suspected WMD's site in Iraq in 1998. That may have done the job. Though Blix claims Saddam may have destroyed all WMD's in 1992. Now the story that Iraqis sue for peace before the invasion, insisting they had no WMD's and inviting everyone and anyone in to verify it. Looks like for once they were telling the truth. Another thing about Clintonites, they did diplomacy. Diplomacy is the most important thing a president can do and Bush failed at it repeatedly, had no interest in it really. That's at the core of his failures.
