I came to the conclusion that Bush's biggest problem is actually the same as Gray Davis's. These types of politicians choose advisors based on their beliefs vs. ability. That was certainly true in the case of John Snow. I was thinking the other night about Elaine Chau vs. Robert Reich. Reich, who I rarely agree with and who clearly deviated from many pro-business Clinton policies, can eat Chau for breakfast. Deviation in policy beliefs didn't bother the Clinton team, they thrived on it.
