Growing pains. I think that this is 'The Plan'. Earnings will grow into Price and not the reverse. It is a cunning plan! Mr G knows that we are in a K-Cycle winter, the catch is who is we. If he can synchronise the deflationary/disinflationary cycle of one economy with the inflationary cycle of another, who knows what may happen. I am a tad skeptical as there are confusing effects around. Basically I believe that the US needs to build up its savings/reduce debt and I am not sure who can take up the slack of this drop in demand, which will aggrevate the deflationary pressures. ASEA? Perhaps. It is just that the US/EU economy is so much bigger that we will need to see exceptional growth. I really have no idea. (And will gladly admit it!) -macavity
