85,000 more troops to Iraq. Smells like Vietnam all over again, though admittedly on a smaller scale. The basic plan is totally flawed as enemies and weapons can flow in through the open borders and our troops are stationed in fixed positions and on patrol, making them relatively easy targets. Also, we still dont know who's attacking us. There is nowhere our fine troops can counter-attack.
