Your defensiveness is showing again.

If my telling you that I will put up with no more of your trash talk is acting "defensive" then I guess Bush telling the terrorists that he will not tolerate their attacks is acting defensive. Not even his worst critics would say that is acting defensive. That is standing up to inexcusable abuse. It's about time I started doing that. There are limits to this turn-the-other-cheek or water-off-a-duck's-back approach of mine

Your argument for PBAs was that the babies would be crippled any way and that any shortening of their lives would be merciful. You expressed approval of killing babies for the well being of adults.

The view I have been expressing is that it is inhumane and stupid to require by law that a woman prolong a pregnancy when the woman is at continued risk from that pregnancy in order to carry to term a hopeless fetus, one that will not survive to birth or long after and who may suffer terribly during that time period. I stand by that.

Saying that I want to kill crippled children is not a fair paraphrase of my statements. It is at best hyperbolic and distorted and ugly.
