To clarify my bond market take, junk bonds are the only sector I am somewhat bullish on now -- I am bearish on all investment grade bonds.

Investment grade bonds almost always move with interest rates -- but junk bonds being more akin to equities -- can often move up or hold there own when rates are rising (if the rise is not too steep)

Junk bonds were in a bear market during much of the bull in investment grade stuff. No reason that a junk bull cannot coexist with an investment grade bear for a while -- unless the latter really gets out of hand.
