Hi Tenchusatsu, that's fair.

I think the gradation of the transgression can be a factor too (as well as the response) - getting addictive to pain killers due to extreme back pain & the nature of those drugs (& lack of doctors properly cautioning patients on this) is certainly less of an offense than having an affair. Rush has my empathy as the former is potentially more destructive to his life and his family if he doesn't recover. However, the hypocrisy he demonstrated when he verbally attacked the drug addicts while he himself was taking drugs, was over the top.
