I agree, KC. Great Britain herself reputedly invented the concentration camp in the Boer War; European immigrants to the North American continent butchered the native Americans by the hundreds of thousands; American colonists slaughtered their fellow colonists who happened to be loyal to the British Crown and sent the rest fleeing to Canada during the Revolutionary War; the new Americans then set about slaughtering 20% of their own people in the Civil War.

The difference between this and the atrocities I have referred to earlier today is that it is really only under Communism in the 20th Century that humans have been so incredibly successful at setting up the apparatus to subjugate, torture and murder their own people. My antipathy is towards Communism as a political system and as a societal organizing principal, not against the people who have had the misfortune to suffer through it.
