If somebody points a gun at you, pulls the trigger, and it fails to go off, and then turns and runs away, and you pursue that unarmed person and kill him, you most likely will be put away for murder. Kerry's case is similar. The enemy soldier's weapon jammed! Then he turned around and fled! It could be deemed a war crime to shoot a fleeing, unarmed enemy soldier. He was already wounded, having been shot by the machine gunner, to boot! Why didn't Kerry take him prisoner, in accordance with the Geneva Convention?
