"incorrectly named "partial birth" abortion by abortion opponents"

Strikes me as an incorrect statement.

"Partial birth abortion" could be an incorrect label if

1 - It is not a label that people use to describe the procedure.

But, it is a often used to describe the procedure.

2 - It is also used to describe some other procedure and there could be confusion if you use the term to describe this procedure.

But, it is only used to describe the same procedure that is also called "D&X", "Dilation & Extraction", or "Intact Dilation & Extraction"

3 - The words in the term mean something very different then this procedure. This objection is similar to my objection to the term homophobia.

But "partial birth" does accurately describe the situation where this type of abortion takes place.
