I think that Bush's reelection depends on what happens in Iraq. It's really hard to argue for his fiscal domestic policies, regardless if you are republican or democrat.

And there is the rub. You have to pray that things go well in Iraq, for our troops, for our country. But if they do go well, we'll probably have him for another 4 years, with the subsequent long term damage that he and his cronies can do to our country and the world.

It's a painful conundrum.

We need to get someone like John Chambers into office.

You have to be kidding. WTF do John Chambers, Bill Gates or (lord help us) Balmer know about running a government?

At least, if we're going to get people from high-tech companies, let's get some innovators. Maybe an Andy Grove.

Gates and Balmer are nothing more than common technology theives. Good ones, but theives, nevertheless.
