In the 70's, George Wallace ran as a Democrat.
After that, the GOP wooed and won the Wallace types and the pro civil rights Dem leadership let them go. Good riddance I say. But now is a new day. Time for southerners to question Bush-Cheney and realize they are the worst choice for 2004.
