Thom mentioned "deep-pocket asset managers and investors that got him interested" and in the reprint of a post below, re Chuck Fipkes MTX/ADD; it mentions "big money boys have oversubscribed this... " Could there be a quiet accumulation by the "big boys", supporting the share prices and moping up weak hands? I wonder if the smart money is looking to diversify into diamonds - Invest in a prospective basket of juniors - only one has to get to mining; with time a good return results. Hard assets are rising in value... ..."I heard two things that I want to share with my fellow diamond freaks. The FIRST thing is for certain. I have spoken with 3 people who attended the MTX AGM. They all agree that when Fipke was doing his "show and tell" with charts and slides he said that the mineral trains to the 5 targets all had good geochemistry. But he also said that the trains to the last 3 were the best. In fact he stated that they were even better than the indicators connected to VICTOR. That apparently is what he said...we shall soon see if he was correct. The SECOND item is something I was told by a source who has some dealings with the brokerage firm that handles the recently announced $10 million pp for MTX. He said that this pp has been oversubscribed by A LOT...the big money boys have oversubscribed this by a lot at prices above the market with a 4 month hold! I always assume these guys get a lot more information than us little guys so if this rumor is true there should be some good news coming soon (sometime after the closing of the pp is announced I would assume!).
