I'm sure he'll address those attacks he made in the past when he comes out of rehab. It's doubtful he'll stand by his original words, though, and it's also doubtful any of his political opponents will ever let him off the hook for that, either.

I don't understand how you can defend a man who was unreservedly cruel to those addicted to drugs [as well as others], and only gained empathy when he himself came down with the affliction. He doesn't deserve condemnation but neither does he deserve anyone's sympathy or defense. At this point, he needs to earn them.

Hi Tenchusatsu, events can change a person, hopefully in his case for the better.

story.news.yahoo.com

I don't like the following group mentioned in this report because they attack immigrants, but what has value to me in this report is: "Camarota's report estimated that 2 million of the 4.5 million new immigrants since the spring of 2000 entered illegally, raising that population to at least 8.5 million."

By comparison, our country only allows 60k Ph.D.s from foreign countries while allowing a couple million of non-Ph.D.'s that serve the agriculture business (which we all benefit from.) But I'm baffled why we would shoot ourselves in the foot by being so against letting more of the world's top talented students into this country. Why is the agriculture industry so much more valuable to our country than the high-tech industry?

Regards,
Amy J
