Let's see...an Army General, who is not a specialist on terrorism, confirmed that a) Saddam was training terrorists at Salman Pak,,,,

You should re-read that section on what Gen Brooks said. He did NOT confirm that Saddam was training terrorists at Salman Pak at all.

The next time a convicted murderer sends you a death threat, let's see how calm you stay about it.

So your value system is: If a convicted murder threatens you, then you would exterminate the entire neighborhood around him/her.

Nice values. Which religion do you belong to?

Saddam hadn't massed troops at any border since 1998 or so, it's true...he was a little constrained by the sanctions.

He was a little constrained? What about your claim that containment was breaking down? How much less constrained could he be? His army was in shambles; there weren't any spare parts. He wasn't making any military moves towards any country. That's about as successful a policy of containment as one can have.

I would like to know what you mean by "...and adopting the Islamist program in public."

Specifically, what is the "Islamist program" that you speak of?
