John, Give me a break. If he was a liberal evangelist, you guys would be all over him. Are there any of those? I guess liberal evangelism is that there are no standards, everything is ok, nothing is good or bad, only thing bad is to have standards (oops, a little inconsistency there, or should I say hypocricy)? But in a way you are probably right. He obviously didn't have the courage of his public convictions. I don't think courage is the right word. More like staying power. I personally find it easy to set on something I believe is good, but often I slip from that, as time goes on. He was an entertainer, saying whatever would be the most divisive, get him the best ratings, and personal financial returns. I would not go that far. I believe he is expressing his honest opinions, but in at least one case, he didn't live up to them. It doesn't mean that he now thinks it is OK to use drugs. If anything, he may be more vocal about the issue, since he witnessed first hand what it can lead to. Think of it as warning others not to make the same mistake. Joe

These people have performed flawlessly in every respect." This is why I have to forcibly stop myself from wishing bad things in Iraq. What idiocy is this? Its as if the sky suddenly changed color and now is purple. I can understand someone feeling very positive about the people they have put into office but to say that they have "performed flawlessly" when even the people in question admit to mistakes is beyond my comprehension. ted
