When right-wingers attack our war heros it's PROOF they're not only wrong and hypocritical, but unpatriotic and even evil. It's ironic that right-wing talkshow hosts talk about liberals being unpatriotic and evil. He who smelt it dealt it, I say.

I am beginning to realize that this country is in very big trouble unless we all fight back against these neocons NOW. And does NOT mean getting behind Dean who is the Bushies best friend. The neocons will have 200 million bucks to run a huge propaganda campaign in 2004. But we cannot let them win. And this isn't even about democrat vs. Republican. I would jump for joy if McCain or Hagel were president. They may be a little too conservative in some ways, but they are are honest, open and compassionate men. The neocons aren't.

Unmitigated gall? To question somebody who wants to be the President? Hardly. You're exposing your hero's weaknesses.

I didn't second guess anybody. Lots of people have asked questions and raised doubts about what happened that day.
If he wants to the President, he's going to have to answer. We can't afford to put a Lt. Calley in the White House.

Was it courage, or just another My Lai - type murder? I don't know. He already admitted that they gunned down an old man with a water buffalo at the beginning of the battle, which has gone largely unnoticed. His record is one of complaining about the exact things that he participated in -- after the fact, of course.

Frankly, I think Kerry cracked and went out looking for blood that day. It was too easy to chase down and murder an unarmed, fleeing, wounded Viet Cong, with no witnesses other than his crew, who might remain loyal and not expose the truth.

No wonder he's so anxious to make amends with the Vietnamese. (N.B. I favor normalization of relations with Vietnam, but for different reasons.)
