How do you handle lawyers who will say anything to win their case?

Demonstrate the falsity of written statements to the Judge, and he/she will take care of the rest. Credibility reigns supreme, and judges don't take kindly to lying.

That's my experience, anyway.

I agree with Cactus Jack, though.
Credibility is important.

It's one thing to spin the facts
as best you can to favor your client.
It's another to simply make up things
or suborn perjury.
