Don't mention Gore. He was cheated out of his rightful place in the White House...

That weak argument would be a whole lot more powerful if Mr Gore had won his home state of Tennessee in 2000 (eleven electoral votes cast for George W Bush) or if he was running in 2004. After all, his defenders still whine that he "won the popular vote."

Mr Gore knows he lost the 2000 elections fair and square. By the way, what's he doing these days?
