We all get tired and make mistakes. Some of us get old and make mistakes(among others, I do). As to my sensitivity about Germans I went from being an anti-German/Germany in my youth to being neutral as to Germans and Germany(except when they annoy me). The same process occurred with the Japanese/Japan. My initial attitude was shaped by WWII and the loss of my mother's family and the suffering my father's family went through. Both changes happened as a result of positive work experiences in Germany and Japan.
