sorry but the stock market is not about being polite,it is about making money.I take my cues from this thread and it predisessors.the common thread of the thread is iso not to forget ,bert, kastel,jw,crusty ect.
look past the egos and you will find gold.
bottom line is ;if you are easily offfended stay away, find somebody who is unctious and ingratiating and follow their advice instead .
ps what I find unbearible about this thread are its succesfull short term trades that I just do not have the time to emulate.
but thats my problem.

I guess you must be going through some very rough times to lash out like that out of the blue... You have my sympathies.

LOL, Do you need anger management class? I have one for you if you are living in the northeast. By the way if you are on probation, you need to pay cash and make sure your stocks are liquid just in case. Respectfully, gf

bj,
Mirror, Mirror, on the (cyber)wall, who has the greatest (Ego) transference of all?

The psychoanalytic concept of "transference" is especially important for understanding online relationships. Because the experience of the other person often is limited to text, there is a tendency for the user to project a variety of wishes, fantasies, and fears onto the ambiguous figure at the other end of cyberspace. The "blending" of one's mind with the other, as some users describe the experience of relating in cyberspace, may reflect this transference process. In fact, some users describe this blending of mind with the computer itself. Transference to the computer and to other users may interact in very subtle, complex ways. As one avid cybernaut once told me, "wherever I go on the internet, I discover myself."
Unconscious motivations related to the transference will also affect the "filtering" process that determines the choices the user makes in establishing relationships. Users may be surprised to find that the close friends they make online all seem to be the same types of people, even though this was not immediately obvious at the start of the relationship. This unconscious "homing" device can be very sensitive. Even when communicating only via text and in cumbersome or distracting online environments, we nevertheless zoom in on relationships that touch some hidden need within us.

When people exchange photos, call on the telephone, or finally meet the other, they are often surprised at how the real person does not always match the image they had developed in their mind. Meeting face-to-face challenges and reshapes the transference reactions.

A BLATANT EXAMPLE of this is given by YOUR very own history on SI.

YOU said to iso "...I have yet to see you make any kind of a significant call."

Really? With your record of posts on SI standing at 11 posts since July 2000, you really were looking in the Mirror when you said that!

Member 8226992

Looking at significant calls, you have had some, saying IVN was too high to own on Oct 18, when it was under 11 and soon heading for 15.30.

Truly a significant call, lol! Now let me guess, your long period of absences on SI after 2000, were you busy all that time counting your money or were you working overtime at the Drive Thru window, trying to get a trading stake together again?

With companies like this,

I know I would vote for the Drive Thru window, ROFLMAO:

Here's to hoping you can, as you say, "handle the honest criticism like a man". I hope things work out better for you bj.

It is amusing to see posters launched against this thread like a blind and brainless SCUD missile, hoping for a lucky hit, only to be shot down in flames, again and again. Sacrificed for nothing.

That must be very aggravating to their masters who send them on their fatal and final flights.
