only to reduce the number of shares
at peak for here I had 2000 short (and a higher number for real)
so trying to match real trades

you know my usual style is to enter numerous positions
often many of them will be under water
when (if) the stock turns positive I will get out of (in the case of shorts) the lower shares while holding the high ones

and often will trade for scalps while holding a position

on the shares that are left the gain is around $4k at the close

actually for my own account I traded at least 3 times as many

was banging this puppy for all it was worth all day (did a total of 4800 shares on it)around a core; most short but even a couple of fast longs

that is one of the problems with trying to match a "static" portfolio with trades that a crazy trader might make

I'm not sure how else to deal with the issue
