I think it's more of a backup emergency measure- than a "substitute". And as a backup emergency measure, I'd say it is morally acceptable. But like all moral decisions, that's one you make on your own. The problem is some people would like to take that moral decision out of the hands of individuals.

Then why do you advocate for its use when a couple has used other forms of contraception and they have failed, and they are doing the abortion purely for the purpose of making up for the failed other methods?
