Same here. Right now I'm chatting with Sullie6..... 'er,
my better half ;-)

She's spell checking my post. Thanks Sullie!

Got a prescription for an MRI to determine the extent of
my partially torn Achilles tendon. Not like there's much
they can do about a partial tear other than wait for it to
completely tear or hope that time & careful rehab allows
it to heal.

My back problems will need me to see two different
specialists as the MRI on it showed no disc or bone
problems. He basically said what I've said...... walking
in an unnatural manner for 3+ years may be the cause for
the chronic back pain & it's not unusual for it to get
progressively worse, especially after partially tearing
the Achilles tendon. He's not sure if it's an arthritic
condition or just inflamed muscles & ligaments' etc., that
will need a considerable amount of time, rehab & medicine
to heal.

Doc took me off Vioxx, took a blood sample & prescribed
steriods (powerful anti-inflammatory) for 12 days, then on
to Celebrex.

And he was not happy with what happened with the
Physiatrist he sent me to.

He's the only doc I have real confidence in right now. He
listens to your symptoms & takes time to actually perform
a physical examination. And he will actually diagnose what
he thinks may be the problem (he's often right before the
tests confirm it too). He doesn't hesitate to
suggest/prescribe something, rather than just write
prescriptions first, then see what happens after a few
weeks.
