For some reason, Jessica refused to see him.

I thought at the time that it most likely was because she wasn't buying his version of the story and didn't want an awkward meeting.

Its preferable to have the press quotes of the actual person, rather than the propagandize reports of the Pentagon.

In the AP story, Jessica Lynch stated why she thought the scripted video of her capture and ensuing propaganda was wrong:

"the 20-year-old private told ABC's Diane Sawyer there was no reason for her rescue to be filmed"

It was previously reported that those who had her were trying to hand her over. It's understandbable there would be military propaganda, but its better to have the unvarnished truth in this country.

There are so many out of context statements coming from the media lately that I really don't believe most of them unless I hear it from the person's mouth. It is a fact of life and the real problem with these kinds of tactics......they make sceptics out of us.

Yes indeedy ...
