Thanks jpg.

After today, I have a better outlook on things. My doc was
pretty pissed at how poorly the physiatrist handled things
& went to town trying to help me. He was honest about my
Achilles tendon, rather than avoid it like the physiatrist
did. I'd rather know what I'm facing & deal with it than
play games. Same thing for my back.

I too, was honest with him. I'm sure that helped. My wife
is an asthmatic, so she has prescription steroids
(prednisone) just around in case. Once I quit taking the
Vioxx, I decided I'd try the steroids as the previous 3
day prescription actually helped, but for only a few days.

My doc admonished me for self medicating, but said he
understood why. My earlier prescription got good, albeit
temporary results & I was seeing some minor improvement on
the low doses too. The main thing is that he listened to
what I said, then prescribed a 12 day course much higher
than the low dose I was taking. He felt a more aggressive
approach might get me over the hump & allow rehab to do
the rest..... or at least as much improvement as possible.

Now time for some take out chinese.

Scallop w/garlic sauce & Hot & Sour soup. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Later!
