That's true, Gore needs to much improve his debate skills and the "air about you" kind of thing that captures votes. That's how GW beat Gore three years ago. That's also how Clinton beat GE Bush.

The Democratic leadership will do ANYTHING to stop Dean. Just remember that. because they know he canot beat Bush.
All their studies show this.

If Kerry, Clark, Gephardt and the rest were to fail to garner enough say 25% support, then what choice would the party have but to bring in the man who most deserves to be president? Gore-Clark would be a strong ticket. And Gore can say "I told you so". Just remember, the other candidates and the Super Delegates can successfully block a Dean nomination.

In fact the only reason Dean is ahead (16% to 13% in the latest poll) is that he's the ONLY 100% anti-war candidate to that gives him an energetic base on the left wing of the Dem party. There are so many candidats no one else has that kind of energized base. But add up the other candidates' support and they outweight Dean by at least 3-1 margin. Then add in the Super Delegates. That is why a compromise candidate may end up with it. If they don't select Kerry Or Clark, likely Gore. But make no mistake, unless dean gets to the convention with 50% or more of the delegates (almost impossible) he will be blocked.
