This is what I meant by your getting caught up in the semantics at the expense of the main point of the article.

When the main arguement for a major point is expressed in such a way that it doesn't make any sense it is a critical flaw in the article and bringing it up isn't just playing games with semantics.

The real question is why was the "statistically significant" data blacked out.

The article doesn't answer that question. Really the only person who can answer it is the person who did the blacking out. You can assume the worst motivation, or you can give the Justice Department the benefit of the doubt, or you can admit the reality that we really don't know.

Discrimination and AA are just part of the issue. In three short years, the Bush administration has developed a history of withholding important information.

OK. I was dealing with this as part of the AA and discrimination debate. If your main point in posting about it is to indicate the the Bush adminsitration is a bit too secretive then I would probably join you in that opinion.
