<It's only a matter of time before coalition partners start yanking their contingents.>

The Polish contingent was never more than token size.

Plans for Turkish, Pakistani, etc., troops have all fallen through.

The U.S. has announced plans to reduce forces in Iraq to 100,000 by 6 months from now.

The next steps will be:

1. U.S. forces have to move all administrative and command positions out of Iraqi populated areas. In populated areas, we cannot stop mortar and rocket attacks.

2. Since the Iraqis are learning how to shoot down our helicopters, our mobility will be seriously reduced.

3. The British (where polls show much less support for the war than in the U.S.) will pull their troops out.
