Being South African (and all), you wouldn't know what this means "pure as the driven snow". That describes the US selfless action in Iraq. Spreading freedom and democracy throughout the world! What more noble cause can there be? Brings tears to my eyes. Why oh why can't you see this burden that is so heavily but willingly born by the stooped shoulders of the few, for the benefit of the many. Such self deprecating sacrifice, such commitment for the greater good without reward, why it is the epitome of the best in human endeavor. By the way, your accusation that I am arguing against myself was like a kettle calling the pot black, was it not? You yourself am a master of that, I am but a student. I go to sleep now, off to work tomorrow, wounded by the criticism, but will rise to fight another day.

Mencken said "Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard." --- and boy, are the Eyerakis getting it good and hard --- as well as those who are giving it to them.
