Good for you, CB.

The NYT has published a touching story of an IDF soldier with a Jewish mother and Palestinian father:

Between Two Homes and Two Peoples, a Soldier Wanders

OK, you're on. Let's be fair. I will donate 100$ to a charity you choose, if I lose. If you lose, you donate $100 to AKPIRG (Alaska Public Interest Research Group, PO Box 10-1093, Anchorage, AK 99510).

Let's set the ground rules, beforehand. Not that I don't trust you (we are all gentlemen here, wink, wink...), but weaseling has been developed to a fine art in the current Age of Lies, so...

1. I have no quote that uses the word "imminent". I can, however, provide many that (imo, and I think to any reasonable person) has the meaning of "imminent", or even "today, currently". Is the meaning sufficient, or must it be the actual word?

2. would you accept these definitions:

(from encarta): about to occur: about to happen or threatening to happen; From Latin imminere , literally “to hang over”

(Webster): ready to take place; especially : hanging threateningly over one's head; Etymology: Latin imminEre, to project, threaten

(Wordsmyth) about to happen or likely to happen soon.
Synonyms: impending , momentary , looming, close , in store , impending , in the cards
Similar Words: immediate , close , nigh , near

Caveat, it has to be a real charity, one that qualifies for an IRS tax deduction.

That will disappoint him, I'm sure.. Almost as much as his friends at A.N.S.W.E.R.. ;0)
