What the (Poor/Lower Middle Class) Southern White Voters don't know or seem to realize is that they are simply a drain on the DEMS and ultimately themselves both socially and financially when they support the right wing. The GOPhers elite could care two shits about them. Cheney is not sitting in his insulated office thinking about ways to help the poor South. He is interested in seeing how many will buy his oil, work for as low a wage as possible, and sign up for military duty. The GOP answers only to the CEOs on Wall Street and interested in little else. How the GOP sells itself to the Southern White is to ALWAYS incorporate MORALS (where they are not actually relevent.) They patronize them by telling them that the Northeast/Coastal liberals are looking to sabotage the history & heritage of the Ol' South. In essence the GOP elite are playing on the tired, worn-out Civil War paranoia that many Southern folk find interesting and possible. -JH
