My composite is slightly positive going into this week and until I buy a paper copy of Barron's either today or tomorrow, I have no clue as to the signals there.

My phony trading account is up to $105,000 from a recent low of $88K... BWDIK?

DJIA still on a buy but about to go on a sell (assuming the markets stay at this level or fall some more)... the VXN is on a buy (which is a sell on the markets).

What does this all mean? My best guess we are in a consolidation area which may or may not result in an intermediate sell-off! Of the various positions you might be in concerning indices... long, short or out, my choice would be "out." Much of a movement up I would be back in long and much of a movement down would put me short.

Does that help?

BTW, there are many other positions you could take which might involve options, futures and other financial instruments! I have provided a simplistic approach.
