Terry, Dean is the front-runner and likely to get the nomination. I think the flap about the Confederate Flag and pickups will help, not hurt him, in the long run. Kerry is toast for supporting the unnecessary war. Ditto for Lieberman, but mostly for having a wimpy voice. Clark has been flaky. I like a lot of what he says, but most of what he says is "please elect me." And the Bush SlimeMeisters have been working overtime on him and some of the mud is sticking. I respect his military record and distrust the guys who accuse him, including Schwartzkopf. Though I have a constant mistrust of career officers in civilian capacity.

I think Dean's only real competition will be Gephardt, who has come across as very personable in all of the debates and interviews. His biggest problem is that we have so few workers now in America.

The dream ticket would be Dean/Clark, but I don't know if Clark would take second banana. Dean/Edwards would also be strong, though they wouldn't be able to play the important military service card vs. the AWOL National Guardsman and The Draft Dodger VP. Hillary should definitely stay out.
