"...Karen Hughes accused me of lying. And so I called Karen and asked her why she was saying this, and she had this almost Orwellian rap that she laid on me about how things she'd heard -- that I watched her hear -- she in fact had never heard, and she'd never heard Bush use profanity ever. It was insane...the way she lied was she knew I knew she was lying, and she did it anyway. There is no word in English that captures that. It almost crosses over from bravado into mental illness...." —Tucker Carlson, Salon interview, September 13, 2003

LOL !! I thought it was funny. It kind of reminds me of some posters I've met on SI. I haven't read the entire article yet, but I thought that intro was kind of funny.

Laura,

Re: Tucker Carlson. What a jerk. And a joke.

I lost even more faith in NPR when I found out that they've hired him as a public affairs show host.

How can NPR be so blatantly partisan and give a jerk like Carlson a role at NPR? Obviously, it is another case of liberal media bias.

The outrageous thing is that if Carville, Begala or Jim Hightower were hired by NPR, the howling of the Right would bring down the rafters.

More on the hypocrisy of the Right:

The rest of that article was good. Goes to show you can't fool all of the people all of the time. Thanks for posting it.
