Yesterday I received this large official looking envelope. Let me describe it. It is about 9"X 11" in size. Splashed in the middle in large letters with bright red background it says "PERSONAL CREDIT NOTIFICATION"

Beside this in large bold letters I read "Form 3225" Ah ha, I think, I have received a 3225!!

Bottom left in even bolder letters "OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS ENCLOSED"

At the bottom right, in a box, is a notification to Canada Post. "CANADA POST: The enclosed documents are intended solely for the addressee listed and should be opened by the aforementioned only. Do not bend, fold, tear or mutilate"

I see another strange number-letter combo very bottom left.

My heart pounds with anticipation, wondering why I have received the 3225. Damn the post office bastards, they must have folded the 3225, because it is creased. But then I realize that inorder for the 3225 to squeeze through the letter slot on my door, they had to fold it. I managed to slow my racing heart, drew a long breath and peaked inside.

Oh shoot!!! Not another solicitation from an American "bank" or whatever, giving me unseen $50,000. credit. Damn, I get these things a couple of times a month! City Bank, Citizen Bank, MNBA, I don't even pay attention. This one from Capital One Bank.

I ought to be flattered, but this POS will go into the round file with all the others!!

Out there in dark Africa, you may be spared this kind of credit push. There indeed may be some advantages to living in South Africa.

I think I will take you up on your last suggestion and get a good night's sleep. Got to dig out those Maple Leafs.
