Thanks, RtS. The sector lists at Barcharts was very helpful but they don't have the eps data in the table, which is a critical element to establishing which performers are "justifiable". An interesting note is that every single sector subset at Barcharts is up and only the "bottom performing 100" are negative (as a group).

fwiw, I don't agree with many of the talking heads who have made the transition from the possibility of rising rates to the stance that once the FED starts rising, they will have to slam on the breaks quickly. I think the FED must realize the error of their ways when they slammed on the breaks too hard in 2000 and then waited too long to start lowering. Especially in an election year, I doubt we see the FED tinker too much but we all know that interest rates will eventually have to rise. Rising rates alone should not derail an economic recovery unless they are established too quickly. A VERY slow, steady rise in interest rates will be needed to prevent businesses from "slamming" on their (investment/capital outlay) "breaks".

RtS and Michael,

Funny you should ask about recent gains - I was thinking of the same thing myself. It will be relatively easy to do, but I will probably need to wait until tomorrow. I should get it up on the web sometime in the afternoon.

Till then,
