It's anticipated that Bush will raise $200 million for his unopposed primary "run". He's opted out of the "matching funds" deal, because that would limit his spending.

What's a poor democrat to do? The only guy that can afford to opt out is Dean, and he did so this past weekend. He raised his bucks on the internet, grass roots donations. Amazing.

It seems to me that each candidate should have the same amount of funds to spend. A level playing field, no buying the election with 100,000 30 TV second bites, paid for by "special interests".

You think the politicians in power, with the donors, will buy that? I don't think so either.
