You are speaking about generic dems vs. republicans. I may agree with you that Dems, as a party might be more special interest driven.

But this discussion is about the corrupt Bush administration. The administration who pillaged the corporate treasury in the name of special interests. Bush gave 190 billion of taxpayer money away in farm subsidies, while California was penalized for paperwork errors in federal reimbursement programs.

The Bush-Cheney re-election campaign’s unprecedented $84 million fundraising effort over four months shows a dramatic reliance on super-donors – 285 contributors who attained elite status with the Bush organization. Analysis of newly released Federal Election Commission (FEC) data reveals that the campaign raised more than 80 percent of its funds via large individual donations mostly raised at exclusive, big-ticket events across the country.

The Bushies are all about corporate special interest welfare with OUR money by the truckload. Trying to give Big Oil 15 billion of OUR money in theoir new energy plan, are paying billions of OUR money to Halliburton, Bectel and you name it. This kind of massive government spending/welfare of course creates a few jobs but mainly it's a giveaway to loyal contributors in the war and pollution business. Jesus would disapprove.
