"These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.”

--Thomas Paine

Pornmeister Larry Flynt said he's bought purported nude photos of Iraq war heroine Jessica Lynch - to keep them from ever being published.

Poor kid, there probably are some topless pics out there - remember she was a 19 year old soldier in the company of other 19 year old soldiers.

They will probably make their way to the internet anyway...

But the bigger problem is that she is being used by two sides to batter each other in the culture wars.

Unfortunately, while the army posed her as a success, the media made her a rock star. Then demanded to know why she is a rock star. To this she can say one thing, that she isn't a rock star. The media then blames the Army for making her a rock star. Then her colleagues in the Army blame her for not be a stand up soldier. Either way she loses.

The media should stop looking for the "angle" on everything and just report....

Then Jessica would be what she is, a soldier who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

She is just a kid, the media needs to lighten up
