I think your points are on the money.

However, with this quarter being the first with the printer business, new products being introduced and forcasting Christmas sales the conference call more important than usual.

Some interesting ideas there...

And, Patricks' comments concerning ink/printers...

DELL hides numbers of certain aspects of their business and lumps them together...for many reasons...But, I've never heard such a hush over the ink/printers and how the strategy is to work...
Aside from a revs number for the ink/printers...The real question is how much bleeding is it causing at HP? Morale surely isn't all roses there now...Have heard that services DELL is picking up is partially due to such at HP...And, when ink is the only profitable part of their business it makes one wonder how they can survive if DELL continues coming up the food chain...
This is what I'd really like to hear discussed at the CC..
