You really can't argue with success, and Bush has been successful in preventing a subsequent attack. Nobody else can take credit for it. On 9/12/01, nobody believed we could get two years down the road without another attack, and we have. That's what matters to me and I think, to most Americans. By your strange metric, all prior presidents were far more effective than bush at preventing terrorist attacks on American soil...bennies are so scarce that you must find credit in strange places. I never thought two years was ample enough time for the terrorists to strike again. No wonder you all are scared out of your wits and are applauding Bush's over-the-top response. The terrorists were never as big and as powerful as you thought. The planes were ours, the gas was ours, the buildings were ours.....all they supplied was the bodies. A very cost effective way to make a point. However, Bush now has made things much worse. I am sure al Qaeda's money raising and recruiting capabilities have increased dramatically. I don't think you will ever understand. Just as you think Iran is on its way to democracy so will you think that Bush is making the world safe for America.
