The UN?.... If the UN Security Council backed the invasion last spring then we would not be having this conversation. The US decided to act outside the UN, unilaterally invading a sovereign nation that posed no threat to the United States. Having done that, the only issue is what it will cost and how much damage will be done to us and to the middle east by our stupidity and arrogance. The bill is still being tallied as we speak -- when you write a blank check you need to be prepared to lose everything.
