Most Dems like Kerry are for middle-class, marriage and child credit tax cuts. Dean and Gephardt not, but Kery fought for middleclass tax cuts. The tax cuts for the rich especially the estate tax cuts are huge budget-bustres and very unfair since the rich enjoy plenty of write-off opportunities. Furthermore, someone has to pay for this war and all the other Bush spending. If it's not paid for it weakens out nation. Kerry-Biden suggested that 15% of the richest margin tax cuts be used to pay for Iraq. Bushies refused. They thought that was a terrible idea. Better to dump the cost on the middleclass after Bush is out of office, they believe.
