Athabasca Oil Sands territory costs
estimated reserves of 250 billion barrels

in 1992-1995 the cost was about $22-25 per barrel
enter Stanford Univ industrial and chemical engineers
they work with Suncor

by 1998, $15/bbl
by 2001, $10/bbl
by 2002, $9/bbl
now, my guess is $8.5/bbl
very competitive

Suncor announced in early 2002, plans to expand production 4-fold in order to produce 500,000 bbls per day by the year 2005

the Stanford process is the critical success
dual horizontal pipeines thru the heavy viscous bituminous hydrocarbon compounds
these are the heaviest hydrocarbonds on earth
they were discovered by Native Americans a century ago
they coated their canoes with the tar
in the process, the top pipe feeds steam gas
the lower pipe collects the less viscous crude oil

roads, pipelines, refiners being set up all across west coast of Canada
by 2005-2007 we will be supporting Canadian production
since spring 2002, I have bought nothing but Sunoco gasoline
that is my participation in boycotting Arab oil

huge opportunities with small growing Canadian oil/gas firms
like Athlone, symbol ATH.V in Canada
ALMLF in USA
